What is your bag policy?

NO Backpacks, large purses, or bags allowed EXCEPT for:

Will there be a lost and found?

Lost and Found will be located at the Info Booth within the festival grounds and will be operational throughout the duration of the event. Lost and Found inquiries after the conclusion of the event please contact us.

Can I bring my kids?

Yes, anyone under the age of 18 is permitted at the event with a responsible parent or guardian. However, to ensure that our festival is compliant with capacity and permitting restrictions, everyone is required to have a ticket to the event.

What time does the festival start?

Festival gates open at 12PM on Saturday, May 15th, 2021

Can I bring my pets?

Darn Good Music Festival has a strict no-pet policy, with exceptions only for service animals as specified by federal and state law. Due to large-scale service animal fraud and for the safety of our patrons, staff, and other service animals, all animals which do not meet the legal standards will not be allowed into the festival grounds. All service animals must be registered at the entrance gates. Please note, dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support are not considered service animals by the ADA and and will not be allowed into Darn Good Festival. What Forms of Identification are acceptable to drink alcohol?

  • State Issued Driver’s License
  • Passport
  • Uniformed Services ID Card
  • Foreign Driver’s License
  • Expired Driver’s License + State-Issued Temporary [Paper]

Identification will not be required for entry through security checkpoints.

Will there be free water?

Yes, Darn Good Music Festival will offer multiple free water refilling stations. Check your festival map for locations. We encourage you to bring reusable water bottles or camelbacks, just be sure to have them empty upon entry. There will also be water and other non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase at the bar.

Can I bring my medications?

Yes, medications are allowed into the festival as long as they comply with the following: No over-the-counter medication is permitted unless in unopened, factory-sealed packaging. No vitamins or supplements of any kind are permitted. Prescription Medication can only be brought into the festival ground with the following:

  • A valid photo id (See list of acceptable forms of identification)
  • Medication must be in original prescription bottle, in-date, legible, with name corresponding to photo ID
  • Only one type of medication per bottle (matching the description printed on bottle)
  • Any prescription controlled substances may only be brought in quantities reasonable for your time at the festival.

How to use VENMO

Once your order is submitted, you will receive instructions at checkout and via email. Payment must be received within 30 minutes to complete order.

Once payment received you will be notified via email and text message and your payment status will update.

 

Payment Plans

Use our Monthly Payment Plan to purchase your tickets and spread the cost of your total order over 3 payment installments.

The 1st payment will be a deposit payment for 34% of your total order. Use of the payment plan is subject to ticket and upgrade availability.

To purchase tickets using the Payment Plan, select your tickets, choose ‘Payments’ then create an account or sign-in. Click checkout and follow instructions to complete.

  1. The first payment must be made at time of order
  2. The second and third payment schedule varies
  3. Final payment must be received by July 15th regardless of the last scheduled payment.

What about security?

Your health, safety and security are always our top priority. With respect to this year’s event in Fairfax County, Darn Good Music Festival’s Safety Management team will continue to work closely with our local, regional and federal law enforcement and public safety agency partners to raise our preparedness and ensure a safe, secure, and positive environment is provided for all attendees, artists, and staff.

Should you need any assistance during your time with us, please proceed to the nearest medical tent or seek nearby uniformed event staff. All of our safety and medical staff are here to help you enjoy the festival and make it home safely.

Can I leave the festival and come back?

Yes, once you’ve entered the venue you will receive your festival wristband. A wristband is required for re-entry to the festival. You will only be issued one per ticket throughout the entire weekend. Please note that these wristbands cannot be re-issued or replaced under any circumstance. It is advised that you not remove your wristband through the duration of your weekend.

Will there be medical personnel on site?

We will have medical staff on site for the entire duration of Darn Good Music Festival. Upon arrival, please take note of the location of our clearly-marked medical tents should you need to stop by throughout the weekend. If you need medical assistance, contact the nearest security official, staff member, ambassador, or medical staff, or go to one of the on-site medical tents. If you’re not sure whether it’s an emergency or not, assume it is and get help immediately. All of our safety and medical staff are here to help you enjoy the festival and make it home safely.

What about people with disabilities?

Darn Good Music Festival is a fully accessible event, and we are dedicated to continually improving our efforts to ensure you have access to all the festival amenities. We welcome and encourage all feedback and suggestions from our patrons. The following explains the services provided this year. For any accessibility-related questions contact us. We will do our best to help you have an awesome experience.

ACCESSIBILITY CENTER

All accessibility-related inquires can be answered at our Access Center. This location is also the place to recharge wheelchair batteries and/or the other assistive technology requiring electrical recharging, as well as store medical equipment, get a drink of water, or just get some relief from the sun.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY

The venue is navigable for people with mobility disabilities. There are accessible pathways throughout the venue. Our ADA team can provide assistance if needed. To request assistance, please visit the Access Center, or just grab a festival staff member closest to you to call our ADA team. We encourage all guests with mobility disabilities to utilize personal forms of transportation, including wheelchairs and scooters. If you need to recharge your motorized wheelchair, you may do so at the Access Center. Patrons should bring all cords and accessories needed to charge their devices. Chargers must use a 110-volt, 20 amp circuit.

SERVICE ANIMALS

Service animals are permitted throughout the festival grounds; however this does not include emotional support animals, therapy animals, or companion animals. Pets are not allowed and will be turned away. Only legitimate service animals that are properly trained and under the proper care of their owners will be provided with the appropriate credentials.

  • All service animals must remain by the handler’s side at all times and must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls.
  • Service animals must be housebroken and should use the service animal relief area.
  • Anyone bringing an animal will be responsible for and liable for any damage or injury caused by the animal.
  • All animals should have legally required vaccinations

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

  • Concessions: All concessions are fully accessible and located throughout the venue. If assistance is required, please confer with a festival staff member.
    • First Aid: We have one main First Aid location in the main grounds, one First Aid location in the campgrounds, and roaming EMT first aid. Professional medical staff can help you with your medical needs at these locations. There will also be on-site ambulances if needed. There will be signage posted, and festival guides provided with a map showing the locations of First Aid and other amenities.

Darn Good Music Festival will consider any request by a guest with disability for reasonable modification of its policies, practices or procedures or for auxiliary aids and services that will permit the guest equal enjoyment of the goods and services offered at the Festival. We encourage you to make any such request as far in advance as possible to enhance our ability to evaluate and fulfill the request.
